About The Event
It is through unique, playful and fun classes children will learn the skills of self-awareness, emotional intelligence, growth mindset, social skills, mindful movement and self-love practices. These yoga and mindfulness classes empower children with tools and strategies for the mind and body, to cope with day to day challenges such as anxiety, stress, ‘busy’ life, overwhelm, social difficulties, focus and confidence.
No previous experience required, the class is accessible for all children.
All mats and props used throughout the class are provided.
About the Teacher - Angela Tonkin
Angela has worked in the Education System for over 16 years. She recognized the mental, emotional, behavioural needs of the children in her classes and was passionate about discovering effective methods to assist them to be happier and more focused learners. Angela studied to be a Mindfulness practitioner, Reiki Master Teacher, Yoga Teacher, Kids Yoga Teacher and she went on to be a senior trainer for a world wide organisation training others how to teach yoga and mindfulness to kids. During this time Angela studied to be a Communication Code Cosultant (focusing on human behaviour and Neurolinguistic Programming of the brain) and an EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Practitioner. She works one to one with children, parents, teachers and adults to assist them in gaining clarity and empowering them with resources and strategies to overcome challenges at school, home and in their daily lives. Angela also teaches yoga and mindfulness in schools, offers wellbeing workshops for teachers and online courses for both parents and teachers.
